For generations, Wollenweber’s has been a family business. We understand that some of life’s most treasured memories begin with ordinary moments , a shared laugh, an afternoon together or a tradition everyone looks forward to each year.
For families caring for a critically ill child, those moments can be harder to come by. Treatments, hospital visits and the uncertainty of what comes next can leave little time or energy for holiday plans. Parents carry worries children may never see, while brothers and sisters navigate changes of their own.
That is why we are proud to support the Casey Cares Foundation, an organization that helps critically ill children and their families enjoy meaningful time together.
Through Casey Cares, joy can take many forms: an outing that gives everyone something to anticipate, a new experience shared with siblings, or cozy pajamas and a movie night for a child who needs to stay close to home. Each offers a chance to pause, connect and simply enjoy being a family.
For 11-year-old Dillon, who has cystic fibrosis and loves animals, that opportunity came during a special visit to Sarasota Polo Club. He met a horse named Felicity and spent the afternoon washing, feeding and walking her. Alongside his family, he explored an interest he loves and made a memory that reached beyond the demands of daily medical care.
