Wollenweber Trucking & Warehousing

An imported container arriving at the Port of Baltimore is only the first step. The freight still needs to get off the port, be unloaded, stored if necessary, and delivered where it needs to go. Coordinating those steps across several providers can take time, especially when plans change.

Wollenweber’s Trucking & Warehousing helps businesses manage that journey from one Baltimore location. Our team can haul a container from the port, unload it at our warehouse, and prepare the freight for storage or distribution. When the customer is ready, our trucking team can move it to its next destination.

That flexibility matters when an entire container arrives at once but the products need to leave in smaller shipments over time. It also helps when a business needs space for a short-term surge, a longer storage program, or a reliable place to receive freight before final delivery.

Every shipment is different. Some products arrive on pallets; others need additional handling when the container is opened. We work with customers to understand the freight, its dimensions, the delivery schedule, and the handling requirements before recommending a plan.

Wollenweber’s has served the Baltimore region since 1903. Today, our family owned team combines port hauling, warehousing, and regional trucking to help customers keep their freight moving.

In the fast-paced world of supply chain and logistics, big mega-carriers often sell a dream of mass coverage. But as any logistics manager in the Mid-Atlantic knows, dealing with massive corporate freight brokers often leads to forgotten shipments, automated phone trees, and unpredictable delays.

When your business needs reliable freight transport and flexible storage across Maryland, Washington D.C., and Northern Virginia (the DMV), you don’t need a massive, impersonal conglomerate—you need a proven, dedicated local partner.

That’s where Wollenweber’s Trucking & Warehousing shines.

Headquartered right in Curtis Bay / Baltimore, Maryland, Wollenweber’s combines deep regional expertise, massive warehousing capacity, and dedicated small-business service that large nationwide carriers simply cannot match.

Here is why Wollenweber’s stands out as the ultimate trucking and warehousing solution in the DMV region.

1. Proven Longevity & Regional Expertise

In an industry where freight companies pop up and disappear overnight, longevity is the ultimate sign of trust. Wollenweber’s has been serving the DMV market for decades, building a reputation anchored in accountability, safety, and deep local knowledge.

Operating as an active, FMCSA-authorized interstate carrier out of Baltimore, MD, Wollenweber’s understands the exact nuances of the local highway networks—from navigating the I-95 corridor and I-695 beltway to managing tight delivery schedules into D.C. and Northern Virginia. Our decades on the road mean fewer delays, better route planning, and smooth operations for your freight.

2. Small Enough to Care, Big Enough to Deliver

We pride ourselves on being a small, high-touch operation. But don’t let “small” fool you—what it really means for our clients is amazing, direct service.

• No Automated Phone Loops: When you call Wollenweber’s, you speak directly to freight experts who know your account, your driver, and your cargo.
• Agile and Responsive: Large carriers take days to adjust to last-minute scheduling changes. Because we keep our operations streamlined, we adapt on the fly to solve your logistics headaches in real time.
• Accountability: Your shipment isn’t just a tracking number in a database of tens of thousands; it’s our personal priority.
